As we were informed last week, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook, the brand, would be changing its name to better represent the metaverse created by this American businessman. Well as part of the event Connect today, we already know what his new name will be.
Henceforth, Facebook will be left behind and will be the name of Goal who will take his place.
With this name change, Zuckerberg will look for what Facebook finally distance himself from his company, but as I said before, we are only talking about the conglomerate that includes Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. That is, the social network, Facebook, it will continue to be called the same.
Previously, we all associated with Facebook with the social network, and not so much with the company, so Goal will be a representation of all that was Facebook previously. In addition to social platforms, Goal It will also be focused on virtual reality technology, and other things.
Basically Goal will become the new face of Zuckerberg, who seeks to put this new identity ahead of its entire metaverse, which as I was saying a few moments ago, is made up of these three social platforms, as well as Oculus, your brand of virtual reality.
Editor’s note: Well, this is news that we already saw coming from last week, however, we finally know what the company will be called from now on. Zuckerberg. Let’s see how well received this new name is, and if it fulfills the objective of separating the social network from the company.
