The cold in the capital Delhi has broken the record of the last 17 years. Last night in Delhi, the minimum temperature was 6.9 degrees Celsius. Earlier on November 29, 2003, the minimum temperature reached 6.1 degrees Celsius.
This morning there was fog
The morning fog enveloped Delhi’s signature bridge and surrounding areas. The temperature will continue to fall further. The Meteorological Department has forecast minimum temperature of 7 degree Celsius and maximum 24 degree Celsius in Delhi today.
Pollution continues with havoc
On one hand, where the cold is increasing in Delhi, on the other hand the bad state of pollution also continues. According to the Central Pollution Control Committee, the Punjab Bagh area has AQI 260 which is considered to be of ‘poor’ category.
Cold will increase more in the coming days
There has been a warning of chill in the capital Delhi much ahead of time this year. Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist RK Gennami said that due to western disturbances, the temperature in Delhi will drop from Monday. According to him, the temperature in the national capital will start falling from Monday, which will suddenly increase the cold. RK Gennami had said that in the coming days, the temperature may fall below 3 to 4 degrees Celsius.
