Ernesto Torrijos has been the winner of the youth contest, for which he has received a prize of 2,000 euros
The next Bando de la Huerta, a festival declared of International Tourist Interest, already has a poster. Ernesto Torrijos has been the winner of the contest, aimed at youth opened by the Murcia City Council in collaboration with the Federation of Peñas Huertanas, for which he has received a prize of 2,000 euros.
Torrijos is a student of the double degree in audiovisual communication and advertising and public relations at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).
The mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, has presented the poster this morning, accompanied by the Councilor for Youth, Teresa Franco, and has assured that «Ernesto Torrijos has managed with his poster to capture the expectation that we all have for our big day to come . You have managed to remind us that we have to have our zaragüeles and petticoats ready and order our carnations. It is a great work that marks a before and after in terms of the traditional iconic images that have always represented us.
The works presented have been representative of the Bando de la Huerta, or have been related to it, with a clear purpose of disseminating this festival. The participants have had full freedom to deal with this theme, being in any case essential an essential element or garden motif.
