The DANA that affects the southeast of the Peninsula has left damage to many railway infrastructures. As reported the Minister of Transportation, Óscar Puente, in his profile of X “the damages are significant” and resuming service in the next four days “does not seem possible”. Traffic in the area was suspended on Tuesday due to heavy flooding in the province of Valencia.
The roads are covered by debris, making circulation impossible. Puente has stated that when they have “a definitive diagnosis on the necessary deadlines to rebuild the road” they will make it public. This suspension has affected more than 11,400 passengers of Renfe.
Traffic has also been suspended between Barcelona and Valencia because of the storm. Commuter lines in the city of Valencia They are not circulating either and Adif has confirmed that they will not resume their normal operations at the moment.
