Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios celebrate 30 years of Mortal Kombat, the franchise that has sold nearly 80 million copies since October 8, 1992, the launch day of the original arcade game. A new video has been released showing the cultural impact of the franchise over three decades of entertainment, from video games to movies and animation. The video brings together moments ranging from the original Mortal Kombat video game (1992) to Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (2020), and from the first Mortal Kombat movie (1995) to the new Mortal Kombat version (2021), spanning 30 years of content. The video puts the spotlight on Mortal Kombat’s legendary fighters and their different versions over the years: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Jackson “Jax” Briggs , Baraka and Shang Tsung. Also unveiled the new material that celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat and contains in a single logo, which recalls the original dragon logo in the shapes, part of the game modes, the moments of the plot, the characters and the final blows from the story of the game. As part of the festivities, Klassic Movie Raiden will arrive on Mortal Kombat Mobile from October 7-11, featuring the features of the character played by Christopher Lambert and the voice of the 1995 film. From October 7-14, players will also be able to log in. every day to receive free anniversary gifts and new in-game content.
