During the third presidential debate, the candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez proposed train police officers, give them more powers, decent salaries, higher medical expenses and other incentives to promote security in Mexico.
“Security is a task that cannot be delegated, that is why from the Constitution, the President of the Republic is the supreme commander of the armed forces,” declared the orange movement standard bearer.
“For this reason, we must honor the armed forces and create a strategy in which, through civil means, we form a competent police force, a National Highway Police that recovers control of the national territory; State police that allow us to get ahead in this fight against crime, with intelligence, with strategy, delimiting the criminal universe, but also bringing order,” he explained.
In this sense, the candidate for the presidency of Mexico for the MC expressed the need to train police officers and give them greater investigative powers. As well as, increase their salary and give them other benefits
“What we need to do? “Give capabilities and powers to the police, investigative powers, give them a decent salary, insurance for major medical expenses and life insurance and give them a Horizon, a police career that allows them to have incentives to risk their lives for us,” said.
“Mexico needs a president capable of facing this problem and I’m the only one who can do it”Máynez highlighted when addressing the issue of security.
