Mexico faces a third heat wave which extends across a large part of the country, with high temperatures that could exceed the 45 degrees Celsius in various entities, according to the most recent report of the weather forecast today from Conagua.
The most affected regions with at least 45°C include Campeche, Coahuila, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Yucatán.
They wait temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees in the towns of Chiapas, Chihuahua, Colima, Durango, Guanajuato, northern Hidalgo, northern and southwest Puebla, northern Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Sonora and Zacatecas.
Other states like Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur and the southwest of the State of Mexicoyou will see temperatures 35 to 40 degreesMeanwhile in Mexico City and Tlaxcala The thermometers will range between 30 and 35 degrees.

Faced with this scenario, authorities urge the population to take precautions: avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, stay hydrated, and pay special attention to children, older adults and people with chronic diseases.

Mexico’s valley: Skies with scattered cloudiness and haze are expected during the morning, with a warm to hot atmosphere in the afternoon. In Mexico City, temperatures will range between 16 and 34 degrees, and in Toluca, State of Mexico, between 8 and 30 degrees. There will be electric shocks and possible hailstorms.
Baja California Peninsula: Cold atmosphere in the northern mountains and mild to cool in the rest of the region during the morning. In the afternoon, a warm to hot environment is expected with partly cloudy skies and winds with gusts of up to 70 km/h in Baja California and 60 km/h in Baja California Sur.
North pacific: Cold temperatures in the mountains of Sonora in the morning, with a warm atmosphere in the rest of the region and extremely hot in Sinaloa. Partially cloudy skies and winds with gusts of up to 60 km/h are expected in Sonora.
Central Pacific: Mild atmosphere in the morning and extremely hot in the afternoon in Jalisco, Michoacán and Nayarit. Electric shocks and hailstorms are expected, with winds of up to 60 km/h.
South Pacific: In the morning there will be fog banks in the mountains of Chiapas and Oaxaca, with an extremely hot atmosphere in Guerrero and Oaxaca. Rains with electric shocks and hailstorms are expected.
Gulf of Mexico: Temperate to cool atmosphere in the morning, with fog banks in Veracruz and extremely hot in the afternoon. Electric shocks and hailstorms are expected, with winds that could generate whirlwinds in Tamaulipas.
Yucatan Peninsula: Warm atmosphere in the morning and extremely hot at dusk in Campeche and Yucatán. Partially cloudy skies and winds with gusts of up to 60 km/h are expected.
North Table: Cold in the mountains of Chihuahua and Durango in the morning and extremely hot in Coahuila, Nuevo León and San Luis Potosí in the afternoon. Dust devils and possible whirlwinds are expected in Coahuila and Nuevo León.
Central Table: Partly cloudy skies and cool to temperate atmosphere in the morning, with an extremely hot atmosphere in Morelos in the afternoon. Electric shocks and hailstorms are expected, with winds of up to 70 km/h and dust devils.
