Tepic, Nayarit.- Rains and storms could reach the states of Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit in a few dayscausing a tropical disturbance with 80 percent chance of formation in two days and 90 percent in five days.
In addition, the coasts of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Michoacán could also be involved in the tropical depression, with a 90 percent chance of training in both two and five days.
According to information from the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), this tropical disturbance, under the name Lester, is located approximately 255 kilometers south of Puerto Ángel in Oaxaca.
“It could make landfall on the coasts of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Michoacán for the weekend […] showers and storms associated with a low pressure area located off the coasts of Oaxaca and Chiapas, it is shown to be better organized”, adds the SSPC.
“This tropical disturbance is expected to move northwest, parallel and close to the Mexican Pacific coast, with the possibility of making landfall on the coasts of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Michoacán,” they added.

It should be noted that the Navy, in coordination with the SSPC, assured that today an intensification of the event is expected “bottom sea”: “with waves of 6 to 8 feet high with a period of 17 to 19 seconds from the coast of Oaxaca, to the coast of Sinaloa”, they conclude.
