The headquarters of Cáritas, ACCEM, Burgos Acoge and Atalaya Intercultural – the NGOs that work for the integration of immigrants – in Burgos have been vandalized with swastikas, neo-Nazi crosses and messages such as “Spaniards first”, “puto moro” or “Más Valencia and less Nigeria.”
The Local Police received a call this morning and went to the headquarters to record these graffiti. As confirmed by this body, they are looking for cameras in the area that will help identify those responsible and they will contact a cleaning company to erase the graffiti “immediately.”
From Cáritas, consulted by this newspaper, they assure that they have not yet reported the graffiti to the Local Police, although they do intend to do so. They are currently evaluating “what measures to take”, which will be communicated in due course.
The four NGOs have found themselves at the center of the political debate after Vox and PP negotiated to withdraw subsidies destined for these NGOs that help the integration of immigrants – except for Cáritas, which refused to accept them if they were going to be exclusive -, something that Finally, the PP has withdrawn from the 2025 Budgets after a massive demonstration last week.
