A 27-year-old young man reported having been the victim of a violent assault at the Pueblo Nuevo metro station, located in the Ciudad Lineal district, Madrid. According to his story, a group of people attackedstealing his mobile phone and watch, and then pushing him onto the train tracks.
The attack occurred on Sunday, May 26, around seven in the morning, just one hour after the opening of the Metro service.
The victim explained that he was waiting for the train when, being distracted by his phone, a group of individuals attacked him, kicking and punching him. The attackers managed to snatch an iPhone 15 Pro Max, valued at approximately 25 thousand pesos, and a Lacoste brand watch.
Although the video surveillance cameras at the station did not record the assault, the young man was observed in another season near line 5, in an obvious state of drunkenness. This fact has raised questions about the sequence of events and the veracity of the reported attack.
Behind the heist, the attackers pushed the young Argentine onto the train tracks, putting his life at risk due to the possible arrival of a convoy. Fortunately, the young man managed to get to safety in time.
The victim was taken to La Princesa hospital, where he received treatment for injuries sustained during the attack. Subsequently, she filed an injury report at the police station when filing the complaint.
