They circulated at night, without a case, without light, they were devoid of license plates and lacked a driving license and mandatory vehicle insurance
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia surprised two young people while
circulated on the RM-3 Totana-Mazarrón highway, as it passed through the municipality of Mazarrón,
aboard two motor scooters lacking helmet, lighting, compulsory insurance and registration.
It is about a man and a woman, 23 years old, neighbors of Ramonete-Lorca and Cuevas de Reyllo-Fuente Álamo who, in addition,
they lacked a driving license, for never having obtained it, for which they have been investigated as alleged perpetrators of crime against road safety.
The action began when Citizen Security prevention officers observed the presence of the two scooters on the highway. The civil guards identified the young drivers, who were circulating
at night, without light and without helmet, with the consequent danger to your safety and that of other road users.
The agents verified that, in addition, the scooters
They lacked registration and documentation required for the type of vehicle, such as compulsory insurance and the certificate of technical characteristics. In addition, the drivers lacked a driving license, having never obtained it.
Specialists from the Cartagena Attestation Team traveled to the site and instructed the corresponding proceedings for the alleged responsibility of individual crimes against road safety. The intercepted vehicles belong to category L1e-B, of EU Regulation 168/2013, receiving a treatment similar to the driving conditions of a moped.
The requirements for the circulation of these vehicles are, among others, to be homologated and registered, to have a certificate of characteristics, a circulation permit and compulsory insurance for vehicles; and, for drivers, use a helmet and have, at least, a valid driving license or permit for mopeds.
The persons investigated – a man and a woman, 23 years old, and of Spanish nationality – and the proceedings carried out have been made available to the Investigating Court of Totana (Murcia).
