It is located in the district of Campillo, one of the most affected by the delimitation of the CHS
Lorca City Council opened on Monday in the social premises of the hamlet of Campillo an information and advice office for those affected by the latest revision of the map of preferential flow zones against floods carried out by the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS).
The mayor, Diego José Mateos, explained that the office will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will be attended by technical personnel from the Department of Urbanism and by officials specialized in cartography.
In a first phase, the technicians will offer information to the residents of the plots that are affected by this delimitation and in a second phase, advice for the formulation of allegations.
The preferential flow zone is a legal figure that is more restrictive than that of the flood zone and limits sectors of land where any type of construction is prohibited because water flows are concentrated during avenues or routes of intense drainage, in which serious damage can occur. damage to people and property.
The CHS submitted to public information for a period of three months the map of affected areas that was published in the Official State Gazette on June 7, although the City Council will request an extension of the term to coincide with the summer period.
The mayor pointed out that the City Council is going to commission a specialized company to carry out a cartographic study to present its own claims regarding the delimitation of high-risk areas of flooding marked by the CHS. The cartographic viewer with the marked area covers some 2,000 hectares of Campillo, Torrecilla, Purias, La Escucha and La Campana.
