The woman was unable to walk due to a broken ankle
The Emergency Coordination Center 1-1-2 Region of Murcia received a call at 11.17 hours requesting assistance to attend to a woman who had a fall while hiking in a mountain area of the place of Los Mamellones, located in the district of Gea and Truyols-La Tercia, in Murcia.
The companion of the injured woman reported that her partner had a possible broken ankle, which made it impossible to go to the place of arrival of the ambulance. After facilitating the position of the injured person by sending the coordinates, the area’s environmental agent and the fire department of the Murcia Region Fire Fighting and Rescue Service were mobilized to the site.
Finally, it was considered convenient to carry out the evacuation of the lady by air through the mobilization of the helicopter of the General Directorate of Citizen Safety and Emergencies based in Sewer and the Group of Rescuers of the Consortium of Fire Extinction and Rescue of the Region of Murcia. After being evacuated, she was transferred to the Virgen de la Arrixaca University General Hospital.
