The National Police has rescued Valencia to a woman who was locked in her home by her ex-partner after threatening her with a knife and sexually assaulting her. A 31-year-old man of Bolivian origin has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of sexual assault, gender violence and home invasion. The agents heard the woman’s screams asking for help, and she was rescued and brought to safety after gaining access to the interior of the property. At the time of arrest, a knife blade was found next to the alleged attacker.
The events took place on October 13 at around half past five in the afternoon when agents from the Response Operational Group (GOR) of the Police Station of the Central district of Valencia were commissioned by Room CIMACC 091 to a home where, apparently, A woman was asking for help.
They immediately went to the place, where they could hear the screams of a woman as she was knocking on a glass door from inside the home, stating that she was locked up by her ex-partner and that she was going to kill her.
Given the impossibility of the victim being able to gain access to the police on her own and the danger to her life, the agents had to use police tools to access the property and be able to help the woman.
At the moment they managed to make their way inside, they observed the aggressor at the back of the room, who showed a hostile attitude and hid his hands, ordering him to show them. At the same time that one of the agents took the victim to safety, others subdued and detained the man, at which point they located a knife blade without a handle, located next to him.
Cheekbone injuries
After gathering information, it was found out that the man had violently entered his ex-partner’s home in search of money and, when he did not get it, he pounced on the victim and sexually assaulted her by touching her in addition to tearing her clothes. He then took a knife to threaten her, hitting her against the glass of the door, which caused injuries to her cheekbone. The victim, after being helped by the agents, was taken by a camouflaged vehicle to a hospital to be treated by health personnel.
The detainee, with a police record, was brought to justice as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of home invasion, sexual assault and gender violence, becoming available to the judicial authority, who adopted a prohibition on communicating and approaching the victim through less than 500 meters.
