The emergency services find the 43-year-old man next to the Battery military zone
The emergency services had to intervene to rescue a cyclist who presented symptoms of dehydration in the Parajola Battery, in the municipality of Cartagena, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Center consulted by Europa Press.
A call from the cyclist to 1-1-2 Region of Murcia indicated his location, an area where vehicle access is not possible, in the Parajola Battery, next to the military zone. Finding himself dizzy, with a headache, vomiting and excessive sweating, he could not continue.
Immediately, the Emergency Coordination Center alerted the helicopter of the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies, and the Group of Aerial Rescue Specialists of the Firefighting and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia.
Once the Firefighters of the Cartagena City Council validated the coordinates provided by the affected person, a 43-year-old man, air rescue means were released.
At 3:25 p.m., the helicopter of the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies landed at the heliport of the Santa Lucía Hospital in Cartagena with the rescued cyclist.
