Authorities of the state of Puebla have made known the disappearance of an entire familywhose last contact was on May 1, when they contacted a cousin.
It is about the disappearance of Rita Rivas Reyes, 53, her daughter María Fernanda Cruz Rivas, 25, and her one-year-old twin grandchildren, Óscar Fernando and Pablo Emilio, as well as little Airam Juliette, 6 years old.
As it was announced, the events occurred in the Bosques de San Sebastián neighborhoodlocated in the capital of Puebla, where the family lived and from where the investigations began.
Relatives ask for search support
Giovanni Cruz Rivas, María Fernanda’s cousin and Rita’s nephew, has gone to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Puebla seeking help to locate his loved ones, from whom he has not heard from for days.
The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Investigation of the Crimes of Forced Disappearance of Persons and Disappearance Committed by Individuals issued search tokens to aid in location.
Giovanni related that Last May 1 was the day he had telephone contact with María Fernanda, who conveyed concern and sadness for a situation that he could not reveal. Since then, she has not heard from them.
He also noted that he has undertaken a desperate search, knowing that his family used to travel between Puebla and Monterrey due to Rita’s work. María Fernanda, mother of the twins and the girl, is dedicated to the home and taking care of her children.
The mother of the twins and the girl is separated from the father of her children, who is also worried about the disappearance. Rita, María Fernanda and the children lived and moved together, increasing concern about their whereabouts.
So far, there is already an open investigation folder in the Puebla Prosecutor’s Office, where the family asks for the collaboration of citizens to locate them.
