The Local Police surprise four people when they loaded the boat with gasoline drums next to the Estacio canal
Agents of the San Javier Local Police arrested a person yesterday when he was loading a pneumatic boat with twenty drums full of gasoline from a van next to the Estacio canal, in La Manga. Sources close to the facts assure that the destination of the fuel is the supply for the return trip to Morocco of the narco-boats that arrive at the coasts of the Region weighed down with bales of hashish.
Likewise, the same sources indicate that the boat that was being used to supply the drug boat was stolen a few days ago and is owned by the Army.
The Complex Operational Center (COC) of the Civil Guard received a call from a witness, who identified himself as an off-duty National Police officer, around 4:50 a.m. yesterday, indicating that on the Estacio channel, four people of Maghrebi origin were rapidly unloading numerous drums of fuel from a white van.
An off-duty agent reported that they were unloading fuel canisters from a van
The bottles were being loaded onto a pneumatic boat docked on the riverbed. The Benemérita agents informed the San Javier Local Police, and two units with four troops went to the scene. When the agents arrived, they observed several people next to the described vehicle and, being surprised, they began to flee on foot. During the search for the suspects, one of the police officers located a man crouched in the bushes in the abandoned area of Puerto Mayor.
Two escape attempts
Despite telling him to lie still on the ground, the 27-year-old Moroccan national with a record of drug trafficking offenses began to flee, pushing the agent. After a chase, he was arrested a few meters later. However, he again tried to evade arrest and fled on foot again, until he was arrested and handcuffed. Despite the intense search for the rest of the suspects, they could not be located at that time.
The boat was stolen a few days ago and appears as property of the Army
Two Civil Guard crews appeared in the area and proceeded to the custody of the detainee, as well as the van and the boat that appeared as stolen. Agents of the Meritorious have taken charge of the investigation to clarify the facts.
