Two police officers in Tenango del Aire, State of Mexico, lost their lives in a tragic incident. The events occurred at dawn on Sunday in the San Miguel neighborhood.
Reports indicate that the officers, one of them a woman, were victims of an armed attack while they were on La Poza Street, near the bypass.
They were motorists who, while passing through the area, alerted about the presence of the bodies lying on the ground, victims of fatal gunshots.
Upon arriving at the scene, the paramedics unfortunately confirmed that the two agents no longer had vital signs. Their identities were revealed as Lucero “N”, 31 years old, and Yovani “N”, 34 years old.
The scene of the armed attack revealed 15 shell casings scattered near patrol car 108, the vehicle in which the brave agents who lost their lives in the line of duty were traveling.
The commissioner of the Municipal Police of Tenango del Aire, Alfredo Martínez, reported that The two officers, before being victims of the attack, warned by radio about the situation.
They had identified their attackers as individuals who were previously involved in a fight, just eight days ago. Since then, They had been under constant threat of death. The subjects took one of the fallen agents' service weapons.
The incident attracted the attention of the relevant authorities, with the presence of elements of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico, who were in charge of carrying out the removal of the bodies and the corresponding investigations.
