A company faces fines of up to 150,000 euros for using discounted fuel in about twenty trucks
The Civil Guard of the Region has developed an investigation in Totana aimed at controlling the use of subsidized diesel – agricultural fuel with a lower tax burden. The intervention carried out by the agents of the Armed Institute resulted in the processing of twenty-two complaints to a transport company, for committing alleged serious violations of the Special Tax Law, according to sources from the Corps reported yesterday.
The action began when civil guards specializing in Fiscal and Borders of Lorca carried out a routine inspection in a company dedicated to the transport sector, whose headquarters are in Totana. The troops accessed the facilities of the merchant and collected different fuel samples in about thirty vehicles.
At the end of the action, the agents had found in 22 trucks subsidized fuel type B in their tanks, “contrary to what is stipulated in legislation on Special Taxes”, sources of the investigation pointed out.
For this reason, the members of the Benemérita forwarded each of the samples obtained and the minutes prepared to the Customs and Special Taxes Unit of Murcia. This company in the Totana transport sector faces sanctions that could reach fines of up to 150,000 euros, for allegedly committing infractions classified as “serious” by law.
