The rescued immigrants are of legal age and in apparent good health
The vessel ‘Salvamar Mimosa’ intercepted this Saturday a Patera with 8 people on board 5 miles south of Mazarrón. The rescued immigrants are men, of legal age and in apparent good health.
A few hours earlier, another boat with 17 immigrants on board, fifteen men and two women, was intercepted 48 miles south of Cartagena by a Maritime Rescue vessel, with the support of the Civil Guard patrulera ‘Río Segre’.
Following the established protocol, they were transferred to the Escombreras Pier, in the Port of Cartagena, where they were treated and the relevant PCR tests were carried out to determine if there is any case of Covid-19.
