The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Zacatecas (FGJE) reported thats human remains located on Sunday morning in the state capital have already been identified and belong to one of the 12 inmates escaped from prison in 2020.
During a press conference, State Peace and Security Construction Board, the head of the FGJE, Cristian Paul Camacho Osnaya, announced the progress in the research folders of recent days.
He explained that it was possible to identify both the human remains found in front of a school in the Tres Cruces neighborhood, as well as those located on the Manuel Felguérez road, both had investigation folders against them in the FGJE.
It should be remembered that it was Sunday morning when the discovery of three bags with parts of a human body lying on the road to Bufa, intersection with Manuel Felguérez road, was reported.

The prosecutor detailed that, after carrying out the corresponding investigations, it was determined that it corresponded to a person, who was identified as a fugitive from the Regional Center for Social Reintegration of Cieneguillas (Cerereso), in May 2020, and linked to an organized crime group.
During the conference, Camacho Osnaya reiterated that it was a cell leader of the Northeast Cartelwho had a record of express kidnapping and federal crimes, specifically for carrying a firearm.
Five prisoners are missing to be arrested
In May 2020, 12 inmates of the Cerereso de CieneguillasZacatecas, they escaped using a tunnel about two meters long, which led to the back of a prison workshop, where the mesh had already been cut and three vehicles were waiting for them.
According to the head of the FGJE, of the total number of prisoners who escaped in 2020, only five remain pending re-apprehending, six are already behind bars again and the other was found dead and severed last Sunday.
