Mexico City.- Televisa could suspend the premiere of the Vicente Fernández bioseries, scheduled for this March 14, by orders of a federal judge.
The Second District Judge in Civil Matters of the Third Circuit issued said order, together with other precautionary measures, while it resolves the lawsuit filed by the family of Vidente Fernández against Televisa for the transmission of the series that narrates the vine and the infidelities of the Charro de Huentitán.
During the ordinary civil trial, the Fernández family alleged that Televisa broke extracontractual relations to trademark law; in addition to the improper use of the artistic name reserved before the National Institute of Copyright (Indautor), among other things.

Due to the above, the The judge ordered the television station to suspend the transmission of the bio series of Vicente Fernández and notified the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) so that it does not allow the output of said content.
According to national media, all parties involved in the trial were notified of the judge’s order, including Televisa and the singer’s family.
IMPI stops bioseries premiere
Legal measures were not the only recourse adopted by the family of Vicente Fernandez to prevent the premiere of the bioseries “The last king: the son of the people”, which narrates the life of the famous Mexican singer.
The Fernández family also went to the Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property (IMPI) to take various precautionary measures to prevent the content from being broadcast on television and on streaming platforms.

The IMPI ordered Televisa to withdraw any product in which they use or exploit, without authorization, the image of the singer and the artistic names of Vicente Fernández and El Charro de Huentitán, as well as any adaptation thereof.
