Technicians of the Valencian Generalitat attribute an incalculable value to them
A raid for drug trafficking gave, by chance, with a discovery of a thousand archaeological pieces. The Civil Guard ran into them at a private address in Guadassuar (Valencia) during a search. Specifically, the agents found ceramic remains -such as tiles, pots and bowls- dating between the 12th and 18th centuries. Some of the pieces were arranged on work tables for classification and restoration, while others were already restored and displayed in different areas of the home.
After a first inspection, technicians from the Historical-Artistic Heritage of the Generalitat Valenciana confirmed that this finding could be one of the most relevant in this autonomous community, as well as attributing incalculable value to it.
The Civil Guard has arrested a 68-year-old man for crimes against historical heritage, against public health -drug trafficking- and illegal possession of weapons, since during the search the agents seized a shotgun and a rifle without documentation. In addition, during the search, thirteen hives were found, some of them with the number deleted and with bees inside. At least eleven of them had been stolen.
