Puebla.- A finding alarming occurred this afternoon in the municipality of Tehuacanin Puebla, where they were found eight bags with human remains in the El Seco-Azumbilla highwaya section that crosses the La Herradura area.
The discovery occurred during the afternoon of this Wednesday, February 14, when drivers passing through the area alerted the authorities through the 911triggering a rapid response from the Security forces.
The Municipal police and the Secretary of Public Security of the State of Puebla were the first to arrive at the site, confirming the presence of at least eight black plastic bagswhose content, after an initial inspection, was identified as human remains.
This discovery also mobilized elements of the National Guard and the Mexican Armywho joined the security and patrol work in the area.
Despite the immediate actions of the authorities, the identification of the bodies and the total number of victims is still to be determined, although sources close to the investigation suggest that the remains could belong to up to five individuals.
The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has initiated the corresponding proceedings, and it is expected that the remains will be transferred to the amphitheater for analysis and possible identification.
This incident adds to the statistics of violence in the state, where, according to the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, more than a thousand homicides and dozens of femicides were reported in the last year.
