Sinaloa.- In the Island of the Silly Ducks and Altamurain Angostura, were located at least 16 dead dolphins and a sea lion.
After the complaint made by a citizen, who, when carrying out the sport fishing activity, detected the presence of some dolphins that were lifeless on the beaches of the municipality of Angostura, for which Debate personnel carried out a tour and verified the presence of at least 16 dolphins, of which ages and genders could not be detected due to the advanced states of decomposition in which they were; The sea lion, which averages 3 meters in length, was located on the island known as Altamura.
According to the fishermen of this area, the dead bodies were detected two weeks agoand despite alerting the municipal authorities, Semarnat and Profepa, surveillance supervision has not been carried out in the area.
A week ago another similar finding was reported, in which lifeless marine specimens were detected on the beaches of Bellavista, on the coastal limits of Guasave and Angostura, with a total of seven dolphins.

In that place, the municipal authorities, Semarnat and Profepa proceeded to bury the lifeless bodies of these marine specimens, otherwise what has happened in the Santa María bay, in the municipality of Angostura, since the 17 specimens located are found at fresh air.
There is also knowledge of another discovery of a lifeless whale at the beginning of February on the coast of Guasavense, which caused concern among the authorities, and who announced a commitment to follow up on the issue by finding the necessary elements for a thorough investigation.
The total sum of the mammals located so far on the coasts of Angostura and Guasave is 23 dolphins, a whale and a sea lion.
Despite the fact that no visible traces of the cause of death were found, it is not seen that they have been attacked by humans, however, according to some fishermen in the area, it has been speculated that it could be the presence of the sardine boats that make some weeks they were stranded in the capture of this product: the sardine.
It was commented in the area that since the location in the first days of February of the lifeless whale on the Guasave coast, it was observed that the sardine boats that come from the port of Mazatlan withdrew a few miles out to sea as a measure before the appearance.
It is the environmental problem that directly affects the environment, in the marine fauna it is said that it is handled as accidental fishing before the application of a fishing gear used by large ships and that directly affects the fauna, generating the death of several marine species.
The men dedicated to fishing assure that it is very common to find this type of marine species in the sardine season, however, given the use of uneven fishing, the authorities of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources and the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection Environment have not taken strong action to end this measure.
On the beaches of the Isla de los Patos Bobos in just one kilometer, 10 mammals of the oceanic dolphin class were located, which were at a distance of between 3 to 5 meters each.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition in which they were found, it was not possible to determine if the mammals were young or adults, nor if they were females or males, because they have been observed stranded lifeless on the beach for approximately two weeks.
On Altamura Island, on a tour of part of the beach, the staff of this publishing house observed five oceanic dolphins, of which it was speculated that they could be young species due to their size, as well as a sea lion, of whose species no further information was obtained.
Some of the species found their viscera exposed, due to the presence of some scavenger animal.
With the nickname of rough fishing, according to the fishermen of Santa María Bay, some sardine boats evade the responsibility of using a fishing gear that directly harms marine fauna.
They assure that with the location of the whale on the coast of Guasave the warning lights were turned on, however, no sanction was carried out nor has any type of punishment been known to those responsible for these damages.
It was only possible to observe that the sardine boats installed off the Angosturan coast moved, but after a few days on the island in Santa María Bay they began to detect some sea products and some lifeless mammals.

Due to these actions, it was considered that the injured fishing had been carried out by the sardine boats, however, so far there is no certainty of the above, for which they have called the authorities of Semarnat and the Profess to act accordingly.
