The Local Police of Las Torres de Cotillas was forced on Saturday afternoon to act before an illegal mass party in the municipality, where several measures were violated taken in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Thanks to the special security device established in the face of the pandemic, at around 7:30 p.m. this criminal concentration was detected in a house in an orchard area of the hamlet of La Loma. Faced with this situation, the agents went to the place, where they found a large number of parked vehicles and the noise coming from inside the house, for which they requested the collaboration of the Civil Guard.
In the action, people from Murcia, San Javier, Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, Molina de Segura, Lorca and even Marbella were identified, all of them being denounced for breach of the perimeter confinement. “Obviously, all the identified persons were also denounced for participating in a massive social event in a situation like the current one in which it is totally prohibited,” said the Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo, who reported that of all the people identified, only one was over 30 years old.
The agents carried out two performances with vehicles arriving at the party. On the one hand, one of them performed an evasive maneuver before the stop of the agents and left the place at high speed, being denounced for it, in addition to over-occupancy and breach of the perimeter confinement. In addition, the occupants of another vehicle abandoned it at the request of the agents and tried to escape, for which they were reported and the vehicle was moved to the municipal depot.
Also, some of the participants in the party they tried to flee through the back of the house, being able to reach some of them, who were identified and denounced. «Such a blatant, insolent and rude breach of the rules is inadmissible. It is a very serious situation due to the danger it implies for the health of all and it has our most absolute disapproval, “lamented Torreño mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who requested the collaboration of all citizens through compliance with the regulations to overcome this health crisis.
