Aguililla, Michoacán.- Federal authorities located a significant amount of explosive material in Aguilila, Michoacán, a territory recently recovered by the armed forces, after organized crime took over the area and where the military is currently carrying out mine search and deactivation work. explosives allegedly planted by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
The Public Ministry of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) in Michoacán, initiated investigation folders against who or who are responsible for the crime of violating the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives.
According to the file, derived from the Homologated Police Report (IPH), elements of the National Guard, when carrying out surveillance tours, were constituted at the corner formed by Ignacio Allende, Miguel Hidalgo and José María Morelos streets, in the Bonifacio neighborhood Moreno, from the Aguaje holding in the municipality of Aguililla, where they located and seized 400 kilos of a granular substance used as explosive material, distributed in 16 sacks of 25 kilos each.
According to a statement from the FGR, the explosive was secured and made available to the Federal Public Ministry in Apatzingán, who will request the corresponding investigations and opinions from elements of the Federal Ministerial Police, as well as experts from the institution, in order to integrate the research folder.
In addition, elements of the Mexican Army, when carrying out surveillance tours, were established on third-order breaches, located in the vicinity of the municipality of Ecuandureo, where they located two vehicles of the Jeep Cherokee line, Jeep Patriot, Honda Acord and a vehicle of the Ford brand, all reported stolen.
Inside, they seized five homemade explosive devices, three AR-15 rifles with 16 magazines and 149 useful cartridges caliber .223 millimeters, a squad-type firearm, caliber .9 millimeters, three magazines for AK-47 rifles of the well-known as a “goat horn” with 28 useful cartridges at caliber 7.62X39 millimeters and two shotguns caliber .12 millimeters with three cartridges.
Also, two .380-millimeter caliber firearm magazines with 31 caliber useful cartridges, two .45-millimeter caliber magazines and two useful cartridges, two .9-millimeter caliber firearm magazines and methamphetamine also known as “crystal, ice or ice” distributed in 21 plastic wrappers.

The explosive devices, weapons, chargers, cartridges, vehicles and drugs were seized and placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry in Zamora, who will request the corresponding investigations and opinions from elements of the Federal Ministerial Police, as well as experts from the institution, in order to integrate the research folder.
