The CC OO union sends a message of support to all workers and condemns these acts
A health center in Totana has woken up this Friday with a graffiti on the sidewalk that leads to the building. In the graffiti you can read ‘stop sanitary terrorists’. The sixth wave of Covid-19 has especially affected Primary Care workers, who have been working tirelessly for weeks due to the large increase in cases.
The CC OO union has wanted to show its support for the workers of this health center. Before the graffiti with the text ‘stop sanitary terrorists’ that appeared this Friday on the stairs of the Totana sur health center, the Federation of Health and Social Health Services of CC OO released a statement in which it showed its full support for the workers of the Murciano Service of health. The union valued the great effort being made by the staff of the different primary care centers in the Autonomous Community.
Likewise, the union warned that “the lack of personnel and the increase in care pressure derived from this sixth wave is causing an increase in the tension of users towards the health and administrative personnel of the SMS, which is absolutely unfair, which in many cases reaches threats and aggressions.
The Federation of Health and Social Health Services of CC OO in the Region of Murcia recalled that “Murcian health workers have been dedicated to the fight against Covid-19 for two years, exposing, in many cases, not only their labor rights but also their health and that of their families. In the words of the Secretary General of the Federation, Miguel Ángel López Lozano, “the maximum inconsistency we can reach is that, due to poor logistics management and lack of resources, society goes from applauding the efforts of the health workers to considering them terrorists. ».
