Ciudad Juárez.- To close the month without exceeding two figures in intentional homicides, the Municipal Police will continue with coordination with other authorities, as well as with intelligence work to arrest those responsible for the crimes.
“If we don’t have arrests, we can’t be successful. We would like to catch them all but that’s what we’re doing. Everything pays off if it benefits the citizens,” said César Omar Muñoz Morales, head of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, yesterday.
Yesterday the corporation announced the arrest of Jesús Armando RS, as the alleged shooter who murdered a man and wounded another in the México 68 neighborhood, as part of these works to combat the aforementioned crime.
For this type of actions, Muñoz Morales assured that they use existing technology, such as cameras and artificial intelligence mechanisms that they have. He even assured that the State Municipal Public Security Secretariats are already connected to keep more eyes on the video surveillance collected between both institutions.
The link occurred “for months”, despite the fact that the Juárez Vigilante program has been active, according to journalistic reports, since the beginning of 2023, as has the Sentinel Platform of the State Police.
The problem, he added, was the connection between both systems, although “both our provider and the state’s provider have already achieved (the connection) to share the information with us,” he added.
