Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Hundreds of citizens and social leaders, including members of the National Regeneration Movement party (Brunette) carried out this Saturday, March 19, a march through one of the main avenues of Culiacán to demonstrate in defense of the Electricity Reform proposed by the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
Young people, women and adults took part in the tour that had as its starting point the stairs of the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, better known as La Lomita, along General Álvaro Obregón Avenue.

With the support of Municipal Transit agents, the march began shortly after four in the afternoon, through which they expressed messages in support of the reform that aims to give greater capacity, production and modernity to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). , for the benefit of citizens.

The tour began in the Guadalupe neighborhood and ended in front of the Culiacán Cathedral.
Heriberto Arías, who has extensive experience in politics, pointed out that forums and citizen parliaments have already been held on this reform and the benefits it will bring, and this march is also celebrated in all the states of the Mexican Republic, so that the population knows plus this legislative project.
“This event is part of the national march that was called by the National Front in Defense of the Electricity Reform; Throughout the country there is activity, some march and other closed events to discuss the initiative”, Arías pointed out.
He indicated that the date on which it will be put to the vote by the deputies and senators of the Republic has not yet been defined.
“It is very likely that this will take several months, but we must not fail to consider that it is important for the general public to be informed and find out why the Electricity Reform is being carried out,” said Heriberto Arías.
Ramón Lucas Lizárraga, who is part of this national front, pointed out that Mexico needs to have sovereignty in the matter of electric power.

“Little by little we have lost our country, it has lost sovereignty in the face of private investment, but all investment from abroad was in this matter and our country cannot be mortgaging the future of citizens in that matter,” commented Lucas Lizárraga.
