Four men attacked the cafeteria of the Los Arcos hospital, in San Javier, in the early hours of this Sunday to loot the collection machine. The alert, according to police sources, was given by the center's own security guards when they noticed the presence of the thieves. These, apparently, approached the hospital along orchard paths and, once inside the cafeteria, they destroyed the payment machine to appropriate the money.
This is not the only blow recorded in the municipality in recent days. The San Javier business became a victim again a few days ago of the adventures of an apparently armed robber. A man robbed a clothing store last Tuesday holding a gun – whether real or simulated is unknown. This robbery occurred just a few days after a man entered another clothing establishment in the municipality and pointed a gun at a worker and a customer, who was with a little girl, demanding money from the cash register. The Civil Guard has already started an investigation.
This new attack occurred in a store on Ramón y Cajal Street, according to sources close to the investigation. A boy, with his face covered by a mask and armed with a gun, entered the store and threatened the saleswoman and a customer who was inside at the time. The San Javier Local Police moved to the area and so did a patrol from the Armed Institute, which has already taken on the case. Last Friday, in addition, around three in the morning the Local Police received a notice about a robbery with a button in a mobile store in the Dos Mares shopping center. The agents, upon arrival, found a hammer and the shop window smashed. It was the security guards who reported what happened.
