The Formosa Police arrested the councilor and lawyer on Thursday Gabriela neme and his pair Celeste Ruiz Diaz, who a few days ago denounced Governor Gildo Insfrán for the conditions in the isolation centers for coronavirus patients in that province.
Neme’s arrest occurred in the afternoon when participated in a Facebook Live at the door of a school in the provincial capital with other opposition councilors.
After the news was known, leaders of the opposition came out to demand the immediate freedom of both leaders, including the head of the UCR and former governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo.
“We demand the immediate release of the councilors @CelesteRuizDiaz and @gabrielaneme detained in the city of Formosa for denouncing the violation of human rights carried out by Governor Gildo Insfrán,” wrote Cornejo.
