The resident of the Pachequero municipality, who had an extensive criminal history, entered the premises with his face covered and stole a large amount of products and cash.
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia carried out the ‘Karve’ operation, an investigation aimed at identifying, locating and arresting the alleged perpetrator of several robberies with force in a construction materials company in the municipality of Torre Pacheco, which resulted in the arrest of a criminal to whom the alleged authorship of five crimes of robbery with force committed in the last fortnight of July is attributed.
The investigation began when the Civil Guard learned of the robbery committed in the warehouse of a building materials company in Torre Pacheco, from which several fuel bottles, paint cans and other products were stolen, in addition to cash.
The Benemérita carried out the inspection of the establishment and found out that the robbery had been committed at dawn, by climbing the perimeter wall of the enclosure, by a single individual equipped with a cap that prevented identification.
Indiscriminate theft of objects
After this first fact and during the last fortnight of July, the same company was the object of another four robberies, whose objective was once again all kinds of products and materials, including the bicycle of one of the company’s employees.
The criminal managed to steal one of the company’s wheelbarrows, which he used to accumulate as many objects as possible and thus move them to the perimeter wall where he took them outside.
The images provided by the video surveillance cameras allowed the first suspect to be related to the succession of robberies, so the investigators focused the investigations on his full identification until they found out that he was an experienced criminal, a resident of the Pachequero municipality.
The extensive criminal background of this criminal helped him stay hidden, regularly changing his address and complicating his location and arrest. Finally, the surveillance and search devices were positive when a Benemérita patrol located him at the exit of one of the homes that he usually frequented.
Far from being proactive, the suspect tried to flee, but was unable to achieve his goal when he was caught by the civil guards, with whom he fought violently to avoid his arrest.
The ‘Karve’ operation culminated in the arrest of a 29-year-old Spanish man, a resident of Torre Pacheco and with a lengthy criminal record, as the alleged perpetrator of five crimes of robbery with force committed in the same company in the Pacheco municipality.
The detainee and the proceedings carried out were made available to the San Javier Investigating Court.
