Sonora.- After a successful joint operation carried out by the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the National Guard and the State Public Security Police, five individuals were arrested and confiscated a significant amount of drugs and weapons in Caborca and Sonoyta in Sonora.
The intervention was carried out in coordination with the three levels of government and as part of the actions of the State Security Board.
During the operation in Caborcathe Sedena troops and the National Guard They arrested Arturo “N”, Kevin Alberto “N”, Martín “N” and Valentín “N” on a dirt road that connects the José María Pino Suárez Ejido with the Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez Ejido.
The arrest occurred after a confrontationwhich resulted in the seizure of 15 rifle-type firearms for exclusive military use48 magazines, 2,084 military-grade cartridges, as well as 234 wrappers of methamphetamine.
Furthermore, they ensured four ballistic vestssix charger vests and a black Chevrolet vehicle.
In a separate action in the same municipality, the State Police arrested Jesús Rodrigo “N” who was carrying a bag with methamphetamine, a .357 magnum caliber pistol and two .357 mm caliber cartridges.
Likewise, in Sonoytathe National Guard confiscated a fragmentation grenade, 50 7.62×39 mm caliber cartridges and 11 tire punctures during another operation.
The detainees and all the seized material were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry for the corresponding investigations.
These operations highlight the authorities' continued effort to combat organized crime and improve security in the region.
