Ciudad Juárez.- After more than six months since the driving simulator for processing driver’s licenses stopped working for the first time, Itzel Castillo Rivas, presented yesterday as the new state licensing coordinator, indicated that she will seek to reimplement the driving simulators, in the process for new guides.
The use of simulators will not only improve the preparation of drivers, but also optimize the process of obtaining licenses for those who are requesting the document for the first time, said the official.
“This resource will be used to evaluate the skills of driver’s license applicants, ensuring they have the necessary training to safely operate a vehicle,” he said.
In addition, Castillo emphasized the importance of going out to the communities with mobile units, making it easier for citizens to carry out their procedures in places close to their homes or workplaces.
Regarding the renewal process and new licenses, he indicated that his commitment will be to “optimize the procedures related to the issuance of licenses, seeking greater efficiency in the service to citizens.”
“We want the procedures to be accessible and comfortable for everyone. This includes bringing services to the streets, supermarkets and other places where people can carry out their tasks quickly and efficiently,” he explained.
In relation to the security of licenses, Castillo Rivas also emphasized the measures adopted to prevent document falsification.
He indicated that improvements were implemented in the security seals and license specifications, which will allow a more rigorous verification of their authenticity.
He also addressed the proposal for permanent licenses that has been discussed in the Juárez City Council and said that this issue deserves an in-depth analysis, considering both the benefits and possible disadvantages.
During the presentation, Gilberto Loya, head of the SSPE, emphasized the importance of this appointment, pointing out that it is part of a series of strategic decisions adopted by the corporation.
In turn, Castillo Rivas committed to carrying out a transformation in the administrative processes, with the aim that the issuance of licenses does not represent a problem for citizens and reaffirmed his commitment that the process of obtaining licenses is rigorous. .
“It is not about doing a quick procedure without guarantees that the driver knows how to drive. “We are going to work with the corresponding areas to ensure that all applicants go through a process that validates their skills,” he concluded.
