If you want to start working on your own, you should know about these fee reductions that help you start your projects
Becoming autonomous is not easy, whoever knows it knows it. Taking the step involves many doubts, queries, headaches and, of course, also money. Because self-employment is a resource that more and more people use to carry out an activity on their own to earn income. In many cases, the illusion is greater than the experience, so there are many unknown details.
This is the case of the aid that you can opt for before making your way as a self-employed person. They are intended to collaborate in the start-up of an entrepreneurial project without having to face all the initial expenses. They are requested together with the process of registering as self-employed in Social Security. For those who are interested in benefiting from these bonuses and reductions in the new quotas, these are the options available to those who register for the first time in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA).
Fee of 60 euros for new self-employed
It is the bonus par excellence. The new self-employed or those who have had a two-year break will pay a flat rate of 60 euros per month, regardless of age, for a full year. The main and obvious requirement is not to have been previously registered as self-employed, within the previous two years (or three if you have enjoyed bonuses in the past).
In the event that the self-employed person opts for the minimum contribution base, they will be able to take advantage of the monthly fee of 60 euros during the 12 months following the date of registration. If, on the other hand, you opt for a contribution base higher than the minimum that corresponds to you, the monthly reduction is equivalent to 80% of the fee.
After the first 12 months, other bonuses can be applied during another equal period: a 50% reduction for the following 6 months and a 30% bonus in the last semester.
Bonus for young self-employed
In addition to the general reductions for two years described, men under 30 and women under 35 can access an additional bonus for appearing as young self-employed. This is 30% of the fee during the 12 months following the general period, so that the maximum duration of the bonuses for these self-employed workers will be up to 36 months.
Aid in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants
Self-employed workers who carry out their activity in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants will be entitled to enjoy the same incentives of 50% and 30% respectively for the two semesters of the second year, also during the subsequent twelve months. Thus, they will also chain 36 months of reduction in the quota.
The self-employed in these cases will have to be registered in a municipality with less than 5,000 inhabitants in the following four years and maintain registration in the self-employed activity in the same municipality for at least two years.
Self-employed in a situation of social exclusion
Self-employed workers with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, victims of gender-based violence and victims of terrorism who cause initial registration or who had not been registered in the RETA in the two previous years also benefit from bonuses . Those who opt for the minimum contribution base have a single fee of 60 euros per month for twelve months; meanwhile, the reduction in that period will be 80% for those who have a contribution base higher than the minimum.
After the first year, the bonus that can be applied is 50% of the quota for 48 months, adding a maximum period of 5 years of reductions from the date of registration in the scheme.
