Like the list of restaurants – The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, whose number one is currently Spanish (Discfrutar, in Barcelona) – votes are cast anonymously. In total, each of the academics can give seven votes based on their best experiences in bars in the last year and a half. If they have not been able to leave their area of influence, that is, the region to which they belong, they can only cast five votes focused on their country of origin.
