Peskov: Russia still has much to do to win the SVO in Ukraine
It is too early to consider the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine complete, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
He argued in absentia with the commander of the special forces “Akhmat” Apti Alaudinov. Earlier, the major general expressed the opinion that Russia had already won the SVO.
There is still much to be done
Alaudinov explained his words about Russia’s victory in the North-East Military District
Alaudinov explained that his words about Russia’s victory in the SVO should not be taken literally. In his opinion, the victory has already taken place if “we realize, understand that we are truly brothers and sisters, that we have a common homeland and that we will be able to withstand only if we stand together shoulder to shoulder.” He also said that the next task for Russians is to “be ready for future challenges as one family.”

Andrey Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, agreed with Alaudinov. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he noted that Ukraine has effectively ceased to be a party to the conflict.
NATO intervened, we are fighting NATO, and the alliance has nothing to do with the SVO. Now look at who was in Kursk, in Poltava? Mercenaries. Mercenaries, NATO intelligence, NATO weapons. What SVO now? We won the SVO, now the fight with NATO continues, so Apti Aronovich, I think, is right
In turn, military correspondent Yuri Kotenok treated the general’s statement about the victory with irony. “Comrade Lieutenant General has reassured me. It’s time for Russia to choose a new Victory Day in honor of the end of the SVO,” he said.
Alaudinov named the decisive battle of the special operation
On September 4, Alaudinov called the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region the decisive battle of the special operation. According to the general, he could not understand how the conflict would come to an end when Kyiv was given a huge amount of resources. It was necessary to destroy combat-ready units and equipment. Now the AFU has transferred all strong units to the Russian border area, due to which their front line has crumbled. The commander of the special forces “Akhmat” believes that the Russian Armed Forces can deal a crushing blow to the Ukrainian troops on their territory and deprive them of their main resource.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev predicted that the SVO will not end with the defeat of Ukraine. He expressed the opinion that after Kyiv “signs the papers”, accepts defeat and a moderate political regime takes over the country, military actions will not end, since later the radicals will return to power.
And then the time will come to finally crush the reptile. To drive a long steel nail into the coffin lid of the Bandera quasi-state. To destroy the remnants of its bloody legacy.
At the same time, the politician stated, even after the remaining Ukrainian territories return “to the bosom of the Russian land,” Moscow’s enemies will continue to accumulate forces to strike at the country.
