Independent analyst of the real estate market, blogger Dmitry Maslov told what mistakes Russians make when applying for a mortgage. One of them is the choice of lending without a down payment, told expert in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
According to Maslov, consumer lending, which provides an initial payment, should also be abandoned. The analyst explained that the choice of such a mortgage is the second main mistake of Russians, since it threatens with uncontrollable costs.
The expert called for a mortgage, since it is more profitable than renting a home, with the rapidly increasing cost of real estate.
“Of course, the personal motives of a person are not taken into account here. For people who value mobility, rent is better; for the rest, it is better to have a credit apartment, but on the other hand, ”Maslov said.
The blogger added that banks do not doubt the borrower’s ability to cope with the loan burden if the amount of payments on all loans is no more than 50 percent of income. At the same time, the higher the initial payment on the mortgage, the less risk the bank risks in cooperating with the client.
Earlier it became known that Sberbank will start issuing mortgages to Russians from the age of 18. Prior to that, only citizens aged 21 and older could apply for a mortgage loan.
