Aida Abdel Aziz began her career working in the Ministry of Education, as a supervisor in training theater groups in schools, after completing her studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.
In 1962, she traveled with her husband, artist Ahmed Abdel Halim, to London, to complete her studies, and there she received a training course in theatrical movement and sound.
The Egyptian artist was a pillar of the theater, and she presented many distinguished works, most notably “The Return of the Absent, Antigone, Your Child, Egypt, Six Hady, Sea Bird, The Emigrant, The Sultan’s Game, Dunjuan, The Land.”
Aida Abdel Aziz has contributed to many cinematic and television works, most notably the films “Diary of a Representative in the Countryside”, “The Queen’s Witness”, “The Tiger and the Female”, “The Devil’s Gate”, “Al-Wad Mahrous Beta Al-Wazir” and “Heliopolis”.
Among her most famous series are “Zainab and the Throne”, “Hala and the Dervish”, “Dameer Abla Hekmat”, “Yawmiyat Wanis”, “Farran Min Al Hob”, “Canaria and Partners” and “Heat Wave”.
Relationship with the “leader”
Actress Aida Abdel Aziz was able to attract great attention in the movie “The Tiger and the Female”, with the Egyptian artist Adel Imam in 1987. Aida has mastered the role to the point that made it one of her most important roles.
In 1999, she presented the movie “Al-Wad Mahrous Beta Al-Wazir”, with Adel Imam. Despite her success with the leader, she only presented two works during her long artistic career.
The Egyptian artist revealed the reason for this, saying, earlier, that Adel Imam ignored her, because of her brilliance in the roles she presented with him.
loneliness and fear
The able artist faced many personal crises, despite her many artistic successes. Perhaps the most prominent of her statements on one of the programs that she suffers from loneliness, after the death of her husband, the artist Ahmed Abdel Halim, especially as she lives alone after the migration of her children to Germany and America, stressing that she puts chairs behind the door of her apartment.
She explained that she regretted that she had taught her children abroad.
Alzheimer’s
Sherif Abdel Halim, the son of the artist Aida Abdel Aziz, spoke about his mother’s injury, as he said that he avoids her appearance in the media due to her health condition.
He indicated that she contracted Alzheimer’s disease immediately after his father’s death, and this is what the doctors told him, as they said that the shocks accelerate the incidence of this disease, and the death of her husband was the beginning of the deterioration of her health.
Before her final retirement from art, the artist Aida Abdel Aziz presented, in 2014, the series “Dahah” with the able artist Yahya Al-Fakharani, to conclude her artistic career after a long artistic history.

Her friend, artist Mohamed Sobhi, was keen to bid farewell to the late with moving words, as he wrote through his personal account on Facebook: “A great artist and a wonderful person in every sense of the word .. Aida Abdel Aziz shared with me all parts of Wenis, and also the journey of a million. “.
While the Egyptian artist Mofeed Ashour said: “Farewell to the great artist Aida Abdel Aziz, a long and long artistic history. An icon of the Egyptian national theater passed away in its golden age.”
While the Egyptian writer Abdel Rahim Kamal said: “I had the honor of Aida Abdel Aziz in the series “Dahha” in the role of (Sakkan) and presented one of the most difficult and beautiful roles.
He continued, “I felt proud that she presented one of my characters… an actress of this high caliber, a lady of the Arab theater who has a unique talent and performance comparable to that of the greatest actresses in the world… God’s mercy be upon the great Egyptian artist.”
