The Zaragoza Logistics Platform (PlaZA) will have a new access. The project announced today will allow its junction with the A-2 and the old N-II through the Arcosur roundabout.
Aragón Logistics Platform (APL) has put out to tender the drafting of the construction project of the new connecting road worth 179,529.81 euros and that It will be a reality throughout 2027 after starting the works in 2025. The investment, according to the basic project, amounts to 15.1 million euros, VAT excluded.
The road infrastructure will have 1,280 meters long and double lanewith two access lanes and two exit lanes that, in addition, between the Arcosur roundabout and the new roundabout in sector 90/1 will have a third rail for the incorporation of vehicles from the commercial area. There will also be a bidirectional bike lane.
According to the data provided, you will connect from the extension of Turiaso street until the connection with the N-II. In this way, with this new road, it will be possible to access it from the northern area through a new bridge from the A-2 towards Madrid and from the old N-II through the Arcosur roundabout, which will be connected to a new roundabout that It will be built on the land of sector 90/1 of the PGOU of Zaragoza. From it, a section of road will emerge that will link with the bridge that will span the different lanes of the A-2 and the AVE tracks.
This road will decongest the other two existing accesses from the A-2, with the roundabouts at the Trade Fair and on the opposite side, since it will absorb the traffic coming from Zaragoza from the old N-II and those coming from the A-2 in both directions.
This new road in the northern area will thus provide greater fluidity to the road traffic that accesses and moves through the 1,350 hectares of the platform daily. Around 16,000 employees travel to one of the 600 companies in PlaZa every day, in addition to freight traffic.
With this access, Drivers will travel 28,400 fewer kilometers each yearwhich will translate into savings in fuel and emissions into the atmosphere, in addition to improving road safety, reducing traffic jams and efficiently distributing traffic.
