Great personalities from the world of culture, politicians, journalists and content creators, gathered on October 11 at the Roquetas de Mar Auditorium to attend a party full of magic and, above all, love for literature and life in capital letters.
More than 1,400 people attended the red carpet of letters last Friday, names such as the journalists, Ana Garcés and Diego Plaza (‘El chiringuito’); Cristina Porta, Mar Montoro, Bea Jarrín or Raquel Arias (Mediaset); Noor Ben Yessef (Antena 3 Noticias), Flora González (Cuatro); actors and actresses such as Cinta Ramírez (‘El Marqués’), Nona Sobo (‘Entrevías’), Raúl Tejón (‘Machos Alfa’), Alberto Velasco (‘Vis a Vis’), Carla Nieto (‘Ángel o Demonio’), Elisabeth Larena (‘The One That Comes’), Silvia Marty (‘Un Paso Ahead’), Álex Adrover and Patricia Montero (‘Yo soy Bea’), Juanjo Ballesta and Nerea Camacho (winners of a Goya Award), Alba Rico ( ‘Violet’); the poet Redry Galán and the singer Verónica Romero. Just as the content creators Isasaweis, La Pelo, Jose Chof, Espe Workout and Borja Sanfélix traveled to the Almeria coast to accompany and present the awards to the 9 winners of the night.

Alberto Cerezuela also took the lectern to share some words full of sincerity and emotion. The founder of the publishing house that publishes the most books in Europe did not hesitate to share with the attendees the logistical difficulties faced by those who want to travel to Almería. In addition to highlighting the great work carried out by the Torrecárdenas University Hospital in Almería. Cerezuela also wanted to dedicate a few words to the Círculo Rojo team, recognizing their effort and dedication. As well as some words of love from his wife, Noelia Pérez.
Music, humor, magic and a touch of dance
After the emotional speech by the founder of Círculo Rojo, it was time to present the awards. The first to take the stage was Mario La Vega, awarded Best Poetry Book for his book, ‘The Bardo Dancer’. The author stood out for his rhythm, since he did not hesitate to perform some dance steps on stage. In the romantic category, Mav Alonso was the award-winning author for her book, ‘The wound I deserve’.
Before presenting the award for Best Children’s and Young Adult Book, Depol took the stage to liven up the night with some of his greatest hits. After her performance, Cristina Martínez, author of ‘Simon the Curious’, collected her well-deserved award. For his part, Dorian Thacker from Almeria took the stage to collect the statuette for Best Fantasy and Science Fiction Book for his book, ‘The Santa Claus Chronicles: The Last Christmas’.
Miguel Miguel added a touch of humor to the evening with a monologue that aroused the laughter of the entire audience in the auditorium to give way to the presentation of the award for the best work in the Life category. Maigualida Ojeda went on stage to collect her award for her work; ‘I chose to live.’
Emilio San José did the same to collect the award for Best Short Story Work, for his book, ‘Ardid’. The Sevillian, Ignacio de la Puerta, collected the award for Best Mystery, Dark Novel and Horror Book for ‘Finder: The Social Network’.
Also from Seville, Myriam Moya took the stage to collect the recognition for the best work in History and Research for ‘Vacation to Hell. The true story of Madeleine McCaan’.
To finish, Jorge Blass delighted the audience with his magic, just before presenting the most anticipated award of the night. The Antena 3 news presenter, Noor Ben Yessef, took the stage, along with Ángel Escobar, vice president of the Almería Provincial Council, to present the award for Best Novel of the year to Mary Jiménez, author of ‘Josefa y su Aquelarre’, also winner in the category of Best Contemporary Fiction Novel.
