Two people are detained for their alleged relationship to the event, in which the victim showed obvious signs of violence
The Civil Guard has arrested two men for their alleged relationship with the violent death of a 66-year-old woman in Nombela (Toledo). The woman hired her two alleged assailants, two men aged 37 and 47, of Venezuelan and Spanish nationality, to move her.
The deceased, who lived outside of Nombela, was the daughter of a neighbor of this town and hours before her death she was seen in the company of the two men now detained, visiting several bars in the town, as confirmed on Tuesday by the mayor of this municipality, Carlos Gutierrez. In fact, she had arrived with them in the town in the truck where hours later she was found lifeless and with obvious signs of violence.
The Nombela City Council decreed this Tuesday official mourning for what happened after holding an extraordinary plenary session and called a minute of silence and a rally in rejection of this event.
The summer of 2021 in this small town of 850 inhabitants will be long remembered. To the violent death of this woman must be added the tragic death of a 21-year-old girl last week when she drowned in the pool of a private estate in this municipality. In addition, also this summer the Civil Guard found 1,250 marijuana plants in an illegal plantation located in a house in Nombela, arresting two men for drug trafficking and fraud of electricity. The installation was valued at around 50,000 euros.
