Netflix posted on Twitter one of the deleted scenes from the season two of The Witcher series, in which Vilgefortz (played by Mahesh Jadu) and Stregobor (played by Lars Mikkelsen) are seen arguing.
Caution, because from here on, direct references will be made to the plot of Season 2 of The Witcher. We will try to be discreet, but if you do not want to get previews, do not continue reading and, above all, do not watch the video attached to the Tweet.
As we can see, the two bring their political ambitions into play, linking them to the actions of Yennefer to Sodden and the facts of Aretuza. It is an interesting scene, at least to better define the two characters, but it was evidently considered superfluous and, consequently, cut.
Netflix is focusing a lot on The Witcher, so much so that it has announced several spin-offs. Directing the series is Lauren S. Hissrich. The cast instead sees Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. The new entries of season 2 see Kim Bodnia playing Vesemir, Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju in those of Nivellen and Mecia Simson in the role of Francesca.
