The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare will follow Vesemir and the voice actors for the original version have been revealed.
It’s going to be a very hectic few months for fans of The Witcher universe. On the one hand with the arrival of the upgraded version of The Witcher 3 to next-gen consoles. And on the other, both for the arrival of the second season of the series starring Henry Cavill and the anime The Witcher: The wolf’s nightmare that will be released next August and from which we can enjoy the trailer and first details.
The series will premiere at the end of August on NetflixAs we already knew from the WitcherCon, this animation series has Vesemir’s story, a very important character in this universe and a mentor to Geralt de Rivia. It will feature the voice of Theo James, protagonist of the Divergent film saga, in its original version. Other characters like Tetra (Lara Pulver), Deglan (Graham McTavish) and Lady Zerbst (Mary McDonnell) will also make an appearance.
They describe the character as a “swashbuckling young warlock who slays monsters in an effort to escape poverty”. Vesemir will embark on a journey to rid a kingdom strained by political disagreements from the presence of a strange monster that is causing fear; and in turn he will have to face his past.
The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare will premiere on Netflix from next August 23rd And as you can imagine, it is a prequel to the television series and also what is told in video games. Lauren Schmidt is the showrunner for the series, co-produced by Beau DeMayo in an anime created by Studio Beau DeMayo.
