As you probably already know, the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was delayed indefinitely, when it was originally planned to launch during the second quarter of this year. Although we do not yet have its new release date, CD Projekt Red He promises that the wait won’t be that long and that the game is definitely not stuck in “development hell.”
During the company’s most recent financial report, where sales figures for both The Witcher 3 like Cyberpunk 2077, a CDPR representative clarified the following:
“I want to say that it is a fact that the development of The Witcher 3 is not stagnant. There have been multiple hints that we will release it in June of next year. That is not the case. The game wasn’t delayed by a monumental amount of time.”
Once the version of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S finally hit the market, it will do so with free DLC inspired by the adaptation of Netflix but we still don’t know exactly what it will be.
Publisher’s note: Too bad this improved version of The Witcher 3 was one of my most anticipated games this year, but I’d rather see it delayed than released incomplete. Let’s just hope that the final product does live up to expectations in terms of remasters.
