A surprising outcome brought the latest edition of La voz Perú, broadcast on the night of this Friday, July 30, when in the final moment Guillermo Dávila chose to steal the participant Joseph Buitrón.
The chalaco salsero, vocalist of the N’Samble Group, went on stage for a close knockout with his teammate Eva Ayllón Giani mendez.
The latter interpreted “I’ll live” of the ‘Queen of the Guaguancó’, Celia Cruz. In contrast, Joseph Buitrón sang “Friends with benefits”, a collaborative song between Reik and Maluma, for the album Now (2019) of the Mexican group.
However, his performance was not convincing enough for the Creole singer to decide to keep him in her team, and chose Giani Mendez as the winner of the knockout battle.
Joseph Buitrón dedicated a few words of thanks before leaving the stage; However, his surprise was evident when, being one step away from being out, Guillermo Dávila pressed the red button for the ‘robbery’ option. This motivated Eva Ayllón to embrace the interpreter of “Fascinates me” Y “Each thing in its place”.
“I will always be team Eva in my heart,” said the salsa singer when he went on to say goodbye to his teammates.
For his part, Guillermo Dávila explained why he decided at the last minute to choose Joseph Buitrón. “Suddenly, I hear a comment that Mike (Bahía) makes to me. ‘Hey, he sang the Oscar D’León song You will cry‘”He explained. “It sounded totally different on this song, and I couldn’t let it go, because I know it can do a lot of good things,” he added.
