Participants will present the latest scientific advances through ten lectures
More than 200 researchers meet at the VI Scientific Conference of the Murcian Institute for Biosanitary Research (IMIB), which are held in the Auditorium of the University of Murcia (UMU), sources from the Community reported in a press release.
The Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, and the vice-rector for Internationalization of the UMU, María Senena Corbalán, inaugurated this meeting this Tuesday, which calls for regional biomedical research of excellence in a conference that addresses aspects such as the effects of nanoplastics, family heart disease and epidemiology and public health, among others.
Pedreño highlighted at the opening that “the celebration of this conference is essential to publicize the importance of research in society and the relevance of the work carried out by clinical researchers to support the development of new medical, scientific and technological advances in benefit of patients ”.
The plenary conference is given by Cristóbal Belda, director of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII), who will be presented by the scientific director of the IMIB, Pablo Ramírez. Participants will present and discuss the latest scientific advances through ten lectures. In addition, young researchers from the institute will present 20 oral communications and, at the end of the conference, the best works will be awarded.
