The US presidential elections begin in one month, with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris competing against Republican Donald Trump, and the presidential race, which has been marred by unprecedented turmoil, appears close.
This year’s presidential race witnessed many fluctuations, from President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race and his support for his running mate, Harris, as the Democratic Party’s nominee, to Trump surviving two assassination attempts, while looking forward to returning to the White House.
The United States awaits the end of the presidential race, while Trump and Harris appear close in the opinion polls.
The next four weeks will see Harris and Trump – along with their vice presidential candidates – Democratic Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and Republican Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio – in a relentless electoral battle.
A few thousand votes can determine the winner in the race to the White House in light of the unique American Electoral College system.
The two candidates are competing in 7 major swing states that are expected to decide the elections – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Harris and Trump will offer voters two completely different visions.
With her slogan, “We will not go back,” Harris pledges to turn the page on an era of political division.
