It thus joins countries such as France, Greenland, Mauritius, Turkey or Jordan
The United States health authorities have placed Italy, Greenland and Mauritius on the list of high-risk destinations when traveling due to the coronavirus situation in those territories.
In its weekly update, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has included these nations in ‘Level four: very high covid’.
The main criterion followed by the CDC to include countries in this category is that they exceed 500 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 28 days, reports the CNN television network.
Thus, Italy joins the list that France is already on, which was included in level four last week. These four countries mentioned are in the very high risk category along with others such as Barbados, Belize, the Cayman Islands, Jordan, Seychelles or Turkey.
